A Dozen for Denna

  Some of you probably know, I'm a big hockey fan. My hockey superstitions involve bringing cookies to my pregame bar. Due to the obligations to my business, I haven't been able to catch a Boston Pride game, however I've been following. On New Year's Eve, Gillette Stadium the Outdoor Women's Classic.  It was a game between the Boston Pride and  Les Canadiennes.  A great day for women's hockey, till Denna Lang was injured and stretchered off the ice.  She suffered a significant spinal injury.   The hockey community is a strong one, players and fans.  Top Shelf Cookies has been fortunate to benefit from the kindness of the hockey community.  People I've never met have bought cookies because they just like the...

That Time I Applied for a CrowdFunding Loan...

Warning, this post has little do with with cookies and can be construed as a lot of mushiness.   On the morning after my bachleorette party a few years back, me and a few of my girlfriends woke up in a hotel room in downtown Boston.  As we were putting ourselves together enough to go downstairs for breakfast, my good friend (and now member of the Scoopers Union #656) gave me the best compliment I had ever received.  "You have really nice friends" Wedding stuff lends itself to the ultimate in worlds colliding.  Work friends, family members, softball friends, hockey friends, long time friends, friends' spouses.  Girls can sometimes be catty and mean.  We've all been to a bachleorette party...

Happy New Year 2016!

CommonWealth Kitchen Holiday Shop At Boston Public Market

It's been killing me to sit on this, but NOW I can tell you with so much excitement that Top Shelf Cookies will be at the Boston Public Market for the holidays, as a part of the CommonWealth Kitchen Holiday Pop Up Market.  We'll be rotating with two other bakers from our kitchen Third Cliff Bakery  and Tia's Cakes & Pastries This is a huge thrill on a number of levels.  Personally, I love the Boston Public Market.  I'm a huge fan of so many of the businesses there: Q's Nuts, Nella Pasta, Sweet Lydia's, Soluna Garden Farms, Noodle Lab and George Howell Coffee are among the amazing vendors under the Boston Public Market roof.  I'd love Top Shelf Cookies to eventually find a...

#ForTheLoveOfBeer this Saturday!
