Hazel was our founder Heather's grandmother — the woman who first put a wooden spoon in her hand and taught her that baking is about so much more than the recipe. It's about the person standing next to you.
We start by browning our butter until it's rich, nutty, and deeply fragrant — then cream it together with light brown sugar and a touch of granulated sugar until thoroughly combined.
Cage-free eggs, egg yolks, and pure Madagascar vanilla go in next, mixed until silky smooth and caramel-forward.
Then comes our dry mix — Vermont's own King Arthur flour, our custom blend of leaveners, and just enough kosher salt to round it all out. And finally, dark Belgian Callebaut chocolate — because Hazel deserves nothing less.
Each cookie is hand-scooped and baked to golden perfection. A classic, elevated. Just like she always knew we could be.
