A Dozen for Denna

A Dozen for Denna

Some of you probably know, I'm a big hockey fan. My hockey superstitions involve bringing cookies to my pregame bar. Due to the obligations to my business, I haven't been able to catch a Boston Pride game, however I've been following.

On New Year's Eve, Gillette Stadium the Outdoor Women's Classic.  It was a game between the Boston Pride and  Les Canadiennes.  A great day for women's hockey, till Denna Lang was injured and stretchered off the ice.  She suffered a significant spinal injury.

The hockey community is a strong one, players and fans.  Top Shelf Cookies has been fortunate to benefit from the kindness of the hockey community.  People I've never met have bought cookies because they just like the story of the Black & Gold cookie or they want to support a fellow hockey fan.  Just a couple weeks ago, I was overwhelmed by a lot of hockey people while going after a crowdfunding loan.  My biggest support has come from my beloved section 307.

I continue to be blown away by the positivity of this young woman.  I'm hoping that it continues for her.  The outpouring of support from the hockey community has been beautiful, but unsurprising for those of us that are in it.

I've been trying to figure out a way that Top Shelf Cookies can help.  Since Top Shelf Cookies is not exactly a giant cookie empire (yet!), I can't write a giant check as much as I would like to.  So, I thought I would give this a try.

Online orders for A Dozen for Denna - a dozen Black & Gold cookies for $14 (plus shipping) and we'll contribute $2.40 (a play on her Boston Pride #24) for each sale.  We'll start shipping them Monday Jan 25th. Taking orders for these through Feb 12th (24 days from today)
